Walk to Remember
The Omaha Walk to Remember will be June 9. Registration begins at 7:00 and the walk starts at 7:30. Come and write your children, grandchildren, brothers or sisters who have gone too soon. For more information, click here.
The Compassionate Friends Walk to
Remember, now a highlight of every TCF National Conference, was created
as a symbolic way to show the love we carry for the children we mourn.
The National Conference is July 7 in Boston Massachusetts and at 8 a.m. Sunday on the final day of the national conference, the
walk starts at the hotel of the conference. Members from The Nebraska Chapter Banner will carry our banner in the walk.

Worldwide Candle Lighting and
Holiday Help Workshop By Alan Pedersen
TCF's Worldwide Candle
lighting is held on the 2nd Sunday in December. This year it will be
December 9, 2012. The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting
unites family and friends around the globe as they light candles for
one hour to honor and remember children who have died at any age from
any cause. As candles are lit at 7:00 p.m. local time, creating a
virtual wave of light, hundreds of thousands of persons commemorate and
honor children in a way that transcends all ethnic, cultural, religious
and political boundaries. The Omaha Chapter hosts a local event attended by 400-500. More information about the event and to register.
Annual Brick Dedication Ceremony will be at the Angel of Hope on September 9, 2012 located at Boys Town. Family and friends welcome.
The program will begin at
2:00 PM, and last approximately 30 minutes. Brick donors since last
year's dedication have been invited to participate in the program.
Bring a white flower to place at the Angel statue.

The Compassionate
Friends Walk to Remember will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Lake
Zorinsky Shelter 5. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. and the walk
begins at 9:00 a.m. The 2012 banner
will be carried to honor and remember children who have died at any age
from any cause. We welcome everyone to join hands and hearts in
remembering all children who have dies too soon. All participants must
sign a liability waiver before the walk.

The TCF National Conference was held July 20-22, 2012, in Costa Mesa, CA. The banner from the Conference.
A Tool of
Self-Discovery--If you’re struggling with loss of direction in your
life due to crisis that is brought on by death, divorce, life
transition, illness, identity struggle and job, please join us for this
hands on opportunity to apply the heart, mind and hands in this
project-based learning exercise. Through this process, you will get a
deeper sense of direction and self which in turn will give you tools to
cope and make progress in your life.
Regional Conference
The Regional Conference, was held
February 17 & 18, 2012, in Overland Park, KS. The conference theme
is "Sunflowers of Hope".
